Punta Chame Villas is nestled near the end of the peninsula of Punta Chame, a small remote fishing village on the Pacific Coast, which offers pristine 22 miles of white sand beaches and a lot of privacy. With very unique geography, it is basically finger shaped and actually has an ocean on both sides of the white sand-lined projection. Because of the layout of the land, it is an exceptional area for fishing and wind sports, specifically wind sailing and kite surfing. This paradise is about 55 minutes from Panama City and a beautiful drive of twenty minutes off the Pan- American Highway through two quaint towns lined with the native flowers and palm trees on a newly paved two lane road.

You will enjoy the views of beautiful country side with rolling mountains, cattle and horses roaming in the near pastures along your drive on a scenic journey to the ocean.

As you wind through the mountainside you’ll begin to notice small chalets on the mountain sides until the land flattens and you smell the ocean breeze and the bay appears on your left and right of the Pacific Ocean peeks through the Palm trees.

Your Arrival...

Coconuts, mangos, papayas and marañon (cashews) are all fruits of the region and grow freely along your drive to the Villas.

You'll pass an inland lake that once was home to an active shrimp farm that runs along the ocean and darts in and out along the road.

Upon the entering the town of Punta Chame two sun weathered ocean buoys with the words "Punta Chame" hand painted ,welcome you to the town of 175 year around dwellers.

Punta Chame is a fishing village where many of the town’s people transport their daily catch of fresh fish and shrimp to the fish market in Panama City to supply the local restaurants and markets. Upon entering the village, the road turns into a newly paved two lane road, finish on last September 2009.

The Villas...

Your journey onto the Peninsula will take you to the near end of the road and with a quick turn about you will have arrived at Punta Chame Villas.

Villas, means country house, it's just that. It is a small resort of fifteen rooms with a beautiful pool, hot tub and wading area surrounding the hot tub. Upon your arrival you will soon notice the beautiful natural wood of the front porch railings and the custom made front door as well as the white cane bamboo on the ceiling of the porch and reception area.

The use of the local labor and local resources was utilized to construct the villas. From the construction of the concrete structure with sand, gravel and wheel barrels to the custom landscape. All wood implements and furniture are hand made, in the fifteen cozy rooms.

The pool with its swim up bar, wading area and hot tub were dug by fifteen men with fifteen shovels.

The rooms are inviting with all fifteen room's pool side and ten of the rooms with an ocean view.

On the fourth floor sits a pleasant Sky Bar with spectacular views of the beach and Panama Bay, the beautiful water of the Pacific Ocean, on a 180° of ocean view. The sky Bar is the top spot for a prime sunset viewing.

In the near distant is a view of the glorious mountains on the adjacent shores and the nearby islands settled in the ocean. One island named Taborcillo also called , the John Wayne Island, is a short boat ride away and once was owned by movie legend John Wayne himself. He spent many years in Panama and it is said to of loved the fishing in the local area.

In the dry season the afternoon sky fills with the nearby kite-surfers following the winds of Panama in the bay. Two kite surfing schools are only a few doors down the beach.

At night the sky lights up with the view of brilliant glowing stars and the beautifully lit skyline of Panama City.

Adjacent to the pool is a tropical bohio, area to relax, surrounding by tropical forest and local flowers, a hand crafted cabana to escape the brilliant sun of Punta Chame -Panama.

There is a word often used in Panama that describes the Punta Chame Villas and it is "Tranquilo" meaning "take it easy".

So.........when your mind is screaming for a little relax time, the remote beaches of Punta Chame, will be waiting for you at Punta Chame Villas.
